This is an excerpt from the manual for a scanner I bought several years ago:
"The basic cellular cell site band is from 870.030 to 889.930. You should not listen to this band in the U.S.A. IT IS ILLEGAL. But if you leave the country, enter 870.030 to 889.980 in 30 KHz increments to search."
