Currently, there are four classifications for Posse involvement: Basic Training, Intermediate Training, Advanced Posse Training, and Qualified Armed Posseman. The training requirements for each classification are listed below.
Basic Training
Law and Legal - 16 Hours
Traffic Control - 8 Hours
Intermediate Training
Prisoner Transport - 4 Hours
Radio Procedure - 4 Hours
Booking and Search - 4 Hours
Advanced Posse Training (APT)
Defensive Tactics - 12 Hours
Mechanical Restraints - 16 Hours
Chemical Agents - 4 Hours
Qualified Armed Posse (QAP)
Use of Force - 4 Hours
Weapons Retention - 8 Hours
Firearms and Annual Module - 60 Hours
Judgemental Use of Force (MILO) - 1 Hour
